Curated by Professor Pablo Mahave-Veglia, GVSU’s yearly showcase at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will present music by South American composers representing a wide spectrum of musical tendencies.
Featuring music by Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Daniel Cueto, Gerardo Dirié, Juan Antonio Cuéllar, and others; performed by the GVSU Chamber Orchestra conducted by Dr. Joel Schut, the Piano Studio of Dr. Sookkyung Cho, Dr. Gary June, Dr. James Thompson, and more.
James Thompson, flute professor at Grand Valley State University, will perform Daniel Cueto’s work PRISMA at the recital.
